Alexis Vice – Rauch
The 2006 Illiana Watermelon Queen is Alexis Vice. Alexis is the daughter of Steve and Debbie Vice residing in Paris, Illinois. She attended Lake Land College majoring in communications. Alexis plans to further her education and receive a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations at Southern Illinois University. Upon graduation, she hopes to be a public relations representative for U.S. Army Drag Racing team, with a long term goal of becoming an inspirational speaker.
She was honored as YMCA Volunteer of the Years 2002 & 2003 and has served as Leader of Paris Jr. Hangar Board, President of Student Government Association at Lake Land College, and Vice President of Phi Theta Kappa. She is listed in Who’s Who among Community College Students and was the 2002 Honeybee Festival Queen & Miss Congeniality.
Alexis was sponsored by Brooke Bishop, a Longaberger Home Consultant and crowned by her predecessor 2005 Illiana Watermelon Queen Elizabeth Coffman. She will be a paid public relations ambassador for the Illiana Watermelon Association for 1 year. As queen, Alexis will make appearances throughout Indiana and Illinois and across the United States at grocery stores, food shows, fairs, state fairs, schools, festivals, lobby in Washington DC and compete for the title of 2007 National Watermelon Queen in North Carolina.
